Hearing Monitors

Hearings are meetings that focus on legislative items that will come before the assembly. It is here that voting members are encouraged to raise questions or make comments regarding future floor items. The hearings are chaired by a member of the Church Council and last one hour. As a monitor, you assist voting and advisory members to the hearing they desire to attend. Sometimes room space for a hearing is limited. In these cases, you may need to limit the people who wish to attend to voting members only. Once the meeting has begun and if everything appears to be running smoothly, you may leave the area.
